Cristo Rey Columbus High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory institution that blends academic excellence with real-world professional experience. Through its Professional Work-Study Program, CRC provides students of all faiths with an opportunity to gain workplace experience while receiving a high-quality education.
Autotool is honored to be a participating business partner in this program. Currently, we host two talented CRC students who contribute meaningfully to our administrative and assembly teams. These students work at Autotool one day per week and two additional days per month, gaining valuable professional experience while making a real impact on our daily operations. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives are not only inspiring but also enrich our company culture.

Lawrence Funderburke Youth Organization (LFYO)
The Lawrence Funderburke Youth Organization (LFYO) is dedicated to closing opportunity, academic, and economic gaps by providing programs in financial wellness, personal and professional development, career readiness, mentoring, and social-emotional learning. Founded by former NBA player Lawrence Funderburke and his wife Monya, LFYO equips young people with the tools they need to build successful futures.

Leadership Team
A common concern a visitor experiences is how well will the product or service be supported. Introducing the team eases fears while showing confidence.
Jason brings over 25 years of business leadership experience to Autotool. Early in his career he was an entrepreneur and later became a corporate executive leader. He has become a well-balanced businessperson with direct responsibilities in large scale manufacturing operations, logistics, sophisticated business-to business sales, mass residential sales, and overall profit and loss.
He is currently the President and CEO of Autotool while being a board member of three other companies. Early in his career he was a business owner as a Tim Hortons franchisee with four locations and added two full-service restaurants to the group. Jason says that his experience gave him a deep understanding of operations, processes, customer service, and sales. He also points to this period is when he gained a passion for leadership and the necessary endurance and persistence to be successful.
After selling his restaurants he spent twelve years as an executive leader for two large corporations: Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) and IGS Energy (IGS). In his time at ADS, he was General Manager for Canada and Distribution Centers. As GM he had the opportunity to lead a manufacturing organization that included sales, pricing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, customer service, and distribution centers. At IGS he was a member of the executive cabinet responsible for the strategic direction, culture, and financial results of the privately held energy company. Jason has become a dedicated leader whose results are measured not only by results but continually creating a distinct culture. An environment that allows people to operate with productive confidence.
As a leader, he is driven by living his core values which creates a culture of integrity, authentic relationships, trust, and an energetic approach to excellence. He is grateful for his experiences and opportunities which drives a deep passion for the community, especially young people. He believes that there is great value in education and work experience. These interests brought him to become a board member and serving as the Chairman of Cristo Rey Columbus High School. Family has aways been a priority. His wife, Betsy, met at Miami University, and he has been happily married since 1996. They have been devoted to four children and reside in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Amy has been an essential part of Autotool since joining the company in 2015. Starting as an Accounting Assistant, she quickly advanced through several promotions, including Accounting Manager, and now serves as Controller. In this role, Amy oversees the company’s financial and accounting functions, ensuring the financial health of the business through diligent monitoring and reporting.
With a holistic understanding of Autotool’s financial operations, Amy manages monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, while tracking performance both at the company level and across individual projects. Her high-level oversight and attention to detail play a critical role in supporting Autotool’s long-term success and growth.
Amy graduated magna cum laude from Franklin University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Prior to joining Autotool, she gained valuable experience working at Chase Bank during its transition from Bank One, which provided her with a strong foundation in finance and adaptability.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, including two adorable nephews, aged 8 and 3, and her two beloved long-haired dachshunds, Riley and Paisley. A devoted Buckeye fan, Amy loves football, reading, shopping, decorating, and taking on home projects. Whether spending time with friends and family or tackling a creative endeavor, Amy brings enthusiasm and care to everything she does.
With over 30 years of experience in the automation industry, Steve has been a cornerstone of Autotool since 1999. As Vice President of Sales, Steve is dedicated to building strong customer relationships and connecting new clients with Autotool’s robotic automation capabilities. He also oversees the applications group, collaborating with his team to design processes that improve product quality and reduce manpower. In addition, Steve plays a vital role in supporting the operations team by mentoring key personnel and providing training in design and project management.
Steve’s career began at a gantry robotics system integrator, where he designed robotic grippers and conveyor systems. He then transitioned to a conveyor manufacturer before joining Autotool as part of the Mechanical Design team. In 2003, Steve became Mechanical Design Manager, leading his team with expertise and innovation. Promoted to Applications Manager in 2008, he focused on process design and cost estimation before stepping into his current role as Vice President of Sales in 2012. In 2019, Steve’s role expanded to include mentoring the operations leadership team, with the goal of continuously improving system quality and delivery.
Over his career, Steve has earned a reputation as a problem solver and a go-to resource for complex engineering, process, and management challenges. His expertise in joining tool design, dimensional quality development, and managing projects from concept through installation has solidified his reputation as a trusted advisor to both customers and colleagues. His deep understanding of process design ensures Autotool’s customers receive high-quality solutions that meet their production needs.
A Chillicothe, Ohio native, Steve studied Mechanical Engineering at Ohio University. He has lived in the Columbus area for many years and is a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years, Katrina, and their two sons, Desmond and Antonio. His interests include ministry work, pickleball, golf, soccer, and other sports. He also values the friendships he has built within the robotics and automation industry throughout his career.
Nick Deyhle has been a vital part of Autotool since joining the company in September 2014. With over 10 years of experience, Nick now serves as Head of Engineering and Projects, overseeing Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, the Integration group, and Project Managers. He is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of project timelines and fostering collaboration among his teams to deliver exceptional results.
Nick began his career at Autotool in the Mechanical Design group, specializing in weld fixture design, 3D modeling, 2D detail drawings, and line layout design. His talent and dedication quickly led to a promotion to Assistant Mechanical Engineering Manager in January 2016, where he managed the design team and schedules while providing valuable feedback. Later that year, Nick transitioned to the Sales/Applications Department as an Applications Engineer, focusing on process development, cost estimation, and proposal generation. By June 2017, he was promoted to Senior Applications Engineer, expanding his responsibilities to include technical sales, customer interactions, and project management.
In December 2019, Nick became Division Manager, initially overseeing project management and manufacturing. His role later expanded to include engineering oversight, allowing him to make a significant impact across all aspects of the company’s operations. His diverse career path within Autotool reflects his adaptability and expertise.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nick graduated from Columbus State in August 2014 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Krista, whom he married in June 2020, and their son, Liam, born in March 2024.
Nick is a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, tackling home improvement projects, and creating lasting memories with his family.
Tom Fischer brings over 25 years of experience in the welding industry to his role as Operations Manager at Autotool. With a deep understanding of welding processes, automation, and manufacturing, Tom has contributed to a wide range of industries and projects throughout his career. His leadership in process development, installation, and plant quality initiatives has equipped him with extensive knowledge of project management, finance, and team development.
Prior to joining Autotool, Tom led operations at Robotworx, a robotic systems integrator, where he managed a highly skilled team of technicians, engineers, and support staff. His career also includes time as a New Model Welding Engineer at Honda Manufacturing of America, where he supported the launch of advanced high-strength steel and aluminum body structures. At Magna Bowling Green Metalforming, Tom played a key role in the greenfield launch of Magna’s premier U.S. truck frame plant, contributing to projects such as the Ford Explorer, Sport Trac, heavy-duty pickups, and various engine and suspension cradles.
Tom earned his associate’s degree in Welding Technology from Lansing Community College and his bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering from Ferris State University. He holds certifications as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) through the American Welding Society and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
Tom has been happily married to his wife, Heather, for 15 years. Together, they have a 12-year-old daughter who dreams of becoming an Olympic swimmer. An avid outdoorsman, Tom finds joy in maintaining his 10-acre property, which includes a wetland that provides habitat for deer, turkey, and waterfowl. Whether working or relaxing on the land, it’s his happy place. A lifelong hockey fan, Tom proudly supports his hometown Detroit Red Wings.
