Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team in our well-equipped machine shop. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of precision parts and components, contributing to the quality and success of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills, to produce high-precision parts and components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure the production of accurate and high-quality parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts to verify conformance with specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain efficient production.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in operating mills and lathes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating and setting up manual machine tools.
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Knowledge of cutting tool selection and tooling setup.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to following all safety regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
