Job Description:

As an Electrical Engineer with a focus on PLC and controls systems, you will play a pivotal role in our continued success. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex control systems that drive our machinery and processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of our technology and enhance our overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CAD to create schematic drawings based on customer standards.
  • Design PLC ladder logic using Allen Bradley, Siemens, or other programing software to control automated systems
  • Create HMI screens to accompany PLC logic
  • Programming the initial setup and structure of robots
  • Integrate and troubleshoot programs during initial build
  • Support installation at customer’s site
  • Work alongside technicians to confirm proper integration
  • Design system network layouts
  • Review and verify existing customer equipment
  • Converse with engineers and customers to ensure high quality design.
  • Evaluate electrical systems, products, and components to ensure efficiency and innovation during design
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (U.S. and Mexico)
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in PLC programming and controls systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
  • Strong understanding of industrial power distribution circuit design.
  • Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) design and configuration.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NEC, UL) and safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens software packages.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan software.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Yaskawa, or ABB robotics.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
