Job Description:

As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will play a key role in developing and improving our machinery and tooling systems. You will learn to design, develop, and maintain complex control systems that drive our machinery and processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hand-on experience and tie academic knowledge to real-world applications while contributing to company success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Design: Collaborate with our engineering team to develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for automation systems.
  • Programming: Assist in PLC and HMI programming, ensuring that systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying and resolving any issues to ensure proper functionality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in industrial automation and provide input on how they can be integrated into our projects.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all electrical designs and systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering princples, circuits, and control systems.
  • Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) design and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn about industrial automation technologies.
  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
