Location: Plain City, Ohio (We are located 5 minutes from Dublin, OH)

Job Overview

We are currently accepting resumes for an Engineering Technician to join our Fabrication Department.  This is a hands on role where you will be producing custom “one off” details that are incorporated into our state of the art robotic welding and material handling systems.  You will be operating a variety of Horizontal CNC Boring Mills as well as Vertical Mills. The Technician is required to perform their own machine set up & tear down, quality inspections, and support our department supervisor in completing daily activities.  The successful candidate will be willing to learn the skill of weldment machining, highly detail oriented and have an eye for quality.  You will need to be good with numbers and able to think in a 3D work environment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Machining of “build to print” details using CNC Mills
  • Unconstrained machine set ups for weldments 
  • Interpretation of mechanical prints and CAD Models
  • Quality inspection of “build to print” parts
  • Use of basic inspection equipment: Calipers, Scales, Tape Measures, and Dial Indicators
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Basic machine upkeep and maintenance
  • Strict adherence to company safety policies

Qualifications:

  • AAS in an Engineering Technology degree preferred 
  • 2 years prior experience in a CNC Fabrication environment considered
  • Strong background in Math and 3D CAD
  • Ability to learn machine setups for vertical and horizontal mills
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an eye for quality
  • Must possess troubleshooting skills to work through basic machine operations, and quality issues
  • Must be able to use measuring devices including dial indicators, scales, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dublin, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • AAS Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • CNC Operator: 2 years (Preferred)
