Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team in our well-equipped machine shop. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of precision parts and components, contributing to the quality and success of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills, to produce high-precision parts and components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations, tolerances, and tooling requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure the production of accurate and high-quality parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished parts to verify conformance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain efficient production.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets.
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operating mills and lathes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in machining is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating and setting up manual machine tools.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Knowledge of cutting tool selection and tooling setup.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Safety-conscious with a commitment to following all safety regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
